Wii Updates

In recent news, Capcom and the developers who made Mario Golf have decided to team up in making a new golf title for the Nintendo Wii, a meeting of some very good gaming minds who are sure to bring out a very fun and polished golfing game for the Wii.

Unfortunately for the many fans of guitar hero who are eagerly awaiting the release of Guitar Hero III for the Wii, this game's online functionality is still in question, despite earlier claims that it would support online play. Online play or not, this game is still shaping to be one of the most eagerly anticipated titles, with a new and updated playlist and a polished interface.

Wii Top Console

The Nintendo Wii has now officially overtaken the xbox 360 as the top console, total Wii sales surpassing total xbox 360 sales, and it was also announced the greenest of the 3 next gen consoles. This is due to the fact that not only does the Wii consume much less energy than the other two consoles, but also because Nintendo is the only console maker that earns a profit on each and every Wii sold, while Sony and Microsoft lose money with each console sold.

Nintendo Update

In the last couple of days, analyst have suggested that the Nintendo Wii has finally outsold the Xbox 360, with over 10.57 million consoles sold since its launch date. Although many of you may be thinking "well that's not so great, the Xbox 360 sells for almost twice what the Wii does". While correct, one must keep in mind that, first of all, the Wii is still in high demand and unable to be found in many stores, and unlike Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo makes money with every Wii sold, while the other gaming companies lose money with each console sold.

Nintendo's Vice President of marketing also made it clear that an upgraded version of the Wii could be possible in the near future, as analyst have suggested that Nintendo may very well lost some of its core gaming audience due to the Wii's dearth of graphical capability that many believe will shorten its life span as the graphics continue to become more dated.
